Pitch:

In the Egyptian desert, « Hope » tells the moving story of a father willing to brave the dangers to save his sick child by seeking a legendary temple containing a miraculous cure. His perilous journey will test his determination and faith, revealing the enduring power of hope.

My work:

This is a final year project of students from ECV Animation. For my involvement in this short film project « Hope« , I joined the creative team as the composer to contribute to the film’s musical direction and auditory experience.

Collaborating closely with the filmmakers, I focused on:

Composing original music that dynamically adapted to the film’s narrative, aiming to evoke emotions and immerse viewers in the story’s world.
Tailoring the musical score to complement the pacing and themes of « Hope, » enhancing the audience’s emotional connection with the characters and the plot.
Collaborating with the film’s team to understand their vision and align the music with their artistic direction, ensuring a harmonious integration of sound and visuals.
Ensuring that the musical composition effectively conveyed the film’s message and contributed to the overall impact of the storytelling.

Throughout the project, my collaboration with the creative team played a pivotal role in aligning the audio design with the film’s vision and storytelling. By crafting immersive and emotionally resonant soundscapes, our goal was to captivate viewers and elevate their engagement with the heartfelt narrative of « Hope. »

Working on « Hope » was an inspiring experience, and I take pride in my role as the composer for this project. It allowed me to further develop my skills in film scoring and collaborative teamwork.
